Shiraishi Island - Take 2

1st-2nd September, 2007

We spent the night in Okayama so to get to Shiraishi this time was much easier and a lot quicker. Marie’s birthday is on the 4th so she decided to spend the weekend at Shiraishi. I loved Shiraishi the first time so I was glad to get the opportunity to go back a second time. This was also our last summer vacation holiday before we started work on Monday so we were definitely going to make the most of it.

We got to Shiraishi about 9:30am and spent the next 2 days relaxing at the beach. It was nice to not have to do anything and to be able to just sit and “veg out”.

There was a beach party going on so there was music pumping all day until about 9:30pm. After we finished from the beach we had showers, had a few drinks and headed back to the party.

We ate delicious wraps and danced the night away. We even managed to get the DJ to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Marie. It was pretty cool. After the party we waked back to the villa. On the way we spotted a toad. Kyosuke being all crazy somehow managed to pick it up. Then for some reason Marie decided to kiss it (I guess thinking that it was going to turn into a prince or something...!) and then Kyosuke held the toad above her head and all of a sudden the frog started peeing all over her head. So much pee was coming out of it. It was the funniest thing I had ever seen. The poor frog was probably scared to death. After it finished peeing Kyosuke put it down. Well I don’t think too many people can say that they have been peed on by a frog!! It could only happen to Marie.

We eventually got back to the villas where we had some more drinks and did our own kind of dancing before we all zonked it. It was such a fun night.

The next day we after breakfast we went straight back to the beach. We set ourselves up in front of the “Moo Bar” and went for a little dip. At lunch time I ordered myself a Pina Colada and had a pizza and some fries. YUM-O! It was great. We had one last swim before it was time to catch the ferry back to Himeji. Such a relaxing weekend - I LOVED it!
